Terms of Service
Last updated Sep 17, 2026
This is a plain-language, good-faith description of how jst.pw works, written by jst.pw and not by a lawyer. If you rely on it for anything commercial, have a lawyer review it first.
What jst.pw is
jst.pw is a URL shortener built by Derabia. Paste a long URL, get a short one back. You don't need an account to shorten a link. If you want one, you sign in with Google; there's no other way in. An account adds a dashboard and the features listed on Plans.
Your links
Links are permanent. We don't expire or delete links automatically, whether they were made with an account or without one. A link stops working only when:
- its owner deletes or disables it, or
- we disable it, as described in "When we disable a link" below.
A link made without an account has no owner who can change or delete it later. If you need one taken down, contact us.
Plans
The Free plan comes with every Google account. The Business plan is arranged on request: we agree the price and the period with you by email, and nothing is charged before that.
What each plan includes can change. Plan limits apply to what you add, not to what you already have. If a limit changes or a Business plan ends, the links, routing rules, managed QR codes and link-in-bio pages you already made keep working.
What you can't use jst.pw for
Don't use a jst.pw link, managed QR code or link-in-bio page to point to or show:
- Malware, viruses, or anything designed to compromise a device
- Phishing pages, or anything impersonating another person, site, or company to steal credentials or money
- Spam: mass unsolicited messages, comment spam, or link floods
- Illegal content under the laws that apply to you or to us
See "Reporting a link" below for how anyone, not only us, can flag something that breaks these rules.
We forward, we don't vet
jst.pw is a forwarding service. When someone opens a short link, we send their browser to the destination URL you supplied. We don't own that destination, and apart from refusing domains we have blocked, we don't check it before the link goes live. If a page you're sent to turns out to be harmful, that's on the destination, not on jst.pw. We do act once we know: see "Reporting a link."
When we disable a link
We can disable a link without notice when:
- it breaks the rules in "What you can't use jst.pw for" above,
- a report about it turns out to be valid, or
- it points to a domain we have blocked.
A disabled link answers with a "not found" response and sends nobody anywhere. For the same reasons, we can suspend an account or switch off its API access.
The API
If you use the API, keep your keys secret: anyone holding one can act as your account. Requests are rate limited according to your plan.
Changes
jst.pw is still being developed, so its features, its plans and these terms can change. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms were last updated. We may also close the site for maintenance from time to time.
No warranty
jst.pw is provided "as is," with no warranty of any kind: no guarantee that it will be available, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. You use it at your own risk.
Reporting a link
A link that opens the waiting page has a "Report this link" button on that page. Anyone can use it, with or without an account. To report a link that forwards instantly, a managed QR code or a link-in-bio page, email jst@derabia.com. A person reviews every report, and nothing is taken down automatically just because it was reported.
Blocklist sources
New links are checked against public blocklists from UT1 Toulouse (CC BY-SA 4.0), The Blocklist Project, URLhaus, OpenPhish and Phishing.Database.
