jst.pw is a URL shortener: paste a long link, get back something short enough to say out loud. The tagline is "Just shorten it," and that's the idea: no account, nothing to set up.

How it works

Paste any URL on the homepage and you get a short link right away, with no sign-up. You can ask visitors for a password before the link opens, and every short link comes with a QR code image you can download.

Sign in with Google to get a dashboard. Google is the only way to sign in, so there's no jst.pw password to remember or leak. From the dashboard you can see your links and their clicks, change where a link points, send visitors to different places with routing rules, and make managed QR codes and link-in-bio pages. There is also an API for creating links from your own code. Links you made before signing in stay guest links; they aren't moved into your account.

Every Google account gets the Free plan. The Business plan is available on request. The Plans page shows what each one includes.

What happens when someone opens your link

A link made while signed in can use an instant redirect, which sends visitors straight to the destination. Instant redirects come from a monthly allowance set by your plan.

Every other link, including every link made without an account, opens the waiting page first. It shows where the link goes, counts down for a few seconds, and has a "Report this link" button, so visitors know what they're about to open. When the countdown ends, the button unlocks and they can continue to the destination.

Links are permanent

A jst.pw link doesn't expire and is never deleted automatically. That's true for links made without an account, and on every plan. A link stops working only if its owner deletes or disables it, or if we disable it for breaking the rules in the Terms, for example by pointing to malware or phishing.

Abuse and moderation

A link that opens the waiting page can be reported from that page, no account needed. To report a link that forwards instantly, a managed QR code or a link-in-bio page, email jst@derabia.com. A person reviews every report. We can also block whole domains and disable single links. A disabled link stops working immediately.
